Being in Farmer's Markets for over 20 years, we are proud to offer the best fish and seafood to our local Albertans. We inspire people from all over Alberta to experience ethically sourced and wild fish and seafood. We also prepare a vast selection of prepared items with simpler and cleaner ingredients.


We are proud to announce that we have opened a unique fish market in Edmonton. We are located on 5036 106 Ave. We carry an even wider variety of fish and seafood including delectable steaks, poultry and desserts!

  • FISHMONGER - Full Time/Part Time

    Hours: Variable     Quarter: Daytime

    Our Catch of the Week store is looking for a full and part-time fishmonger to complete our dynamic team!

     

    Salary to be discussed depending on experience.

     

    Responsabilities

     

    • Process and cut fish in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

    • Prepare the fish ready to cook (Skeweres, Marinated Fish, etc...).

    • Assemble the ice fish display around the boat.

    • Display and rotate products and provide customer service.

    • Make sure to keep your work space clean.

    • Respect company standards, maintain fish counters in a "ready to sell" state throughout the day.

    • Provide quality customer service, and carry out any other job-related tasks

     

    Qualification

     

    • Minimum 2 years of fishmonger experience or high affinity for fish & seafood in a culinary setting

    • Highly developed team spirit

    • Autonomy and initiative to follow-up

    • Ease with customer service

    • Organizational skills

    • Attendance at work

    • Canadian citizen or Work permit

    • Minimum high school diploma education

  • CASHIER - Full Time/Part Time

    Description

     

    Our Catch of the Week store in Goldbar Centre is looking for full time & part-time cashiers. The candidate must be versatile and provide good customer service.

     

     

    Part-time: 15 to 20 hours per week

     

    Salary to be discussed depending on experience.

     

    Responsabilities

     

    • Greet customers with courtesy.

    • Operate all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners and scales.

    • Ensure the swing of your body.

    • Answer customer questions.

    • Maintain a clean work environment, keeping the register ready for incoming customers.

    • Other tasks as needed.

    Expectations

     

    • With or without experience.

    • Ability to work with an electronic cash register system.

    • Developed sense of customer service.

    • Sense of responsibility and autonomy.

    • Communication skills.

    Requirements & Experience

     

    • 2 to 3 years of experience in the field

    • Any certificates awarded by the Canadian Culinary Institute (CCI) of the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCF)

    • Adept culinary knowledge on fish & seafood

  • ASSISTANT MANAGER

    Description

    Our Catch of the Week! store in Goldbar Centre is looking for an autonomous and resourceful person to fill an assistant manager position.

     

    Responsabilities

     

    • Sell ​​merchandise to customers.

    • In collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of purchases, inventories, price lists, marketing, loss prevention (waste, theft, inventory loss, breakage).

    • Management of fishmonger staff.

    • Participate in scheduling schedules in collaboration with the manager.

    • Participate in taking monthly physical inventory.

    • Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards.

    • Replace the branch manager in the event of his absence.

     

    Expectations

     

    • Retail food experience required.

    • Experience in fish & seafood, an asset.

    • Developed sense of customer service.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

     

    Education & Experience

     

    A university degree or college diploma in business OR 4+ years of field experience including references.
